Port Engineer. Under the direction of the VP of Operations, responsible for planning, estimating,

supervising, and overseeing the performance of vessel modifications, maintenance, and repairs.

Position requires little domestic travel, approximately 10% to 15%. Requires: Bachelor’s degree in

Marine Engineering or foreign equivalent degree. 3 years’ experience as Port Engineer for deep sea

operating company. Experience must include a minimum of 3 years in each of: Supervision of shipyard-related

overhauls and rebuilds. Large hydraulic and refrigeration systems typical of large deep sea

trawlers. Regulatory and class requirements for inspected and classed vessels of all tonnages, and for

uninspected fishing vessels under alternative compliance. Safety management systems and

requirements. The following marine systems: Hull, tank, bulkhead, and other structures integral to the

watertight envelope of a vessel; Diesel engines and supporting systems; Gearboxes; Steering systems;

Shafts, bearing, and propellers (CPP); Pumps, valves, and piping of all types and services; Hydraulic

operated equipment of many types including trawl and supporting winches, net reels, capstans and

windlass, cranes; Electric generators, control systems, switchboards, and distribution systems;

Wheelhouse electronics for navigation, communication, fish finding and hydrographics. Location:
